Sir Robert Ogden commissioned us to work on the redevelopment of Indescon Court in the heart of Millharbour’s Millenium Quarter, south of Canary Wharf in London’s Docklands.
We secured an outline planning consent that considerably increased the density and value of the site and included 450 new apartments, a hotel and retail.
The medium rise part of the scheme centres on Lighterman’s Gardens, a major new public space within the Millennium Quarter at the confluence of pedestrian routes. A residential tower cluster with a conservatory ‘sky lobby’ has views to Tower Bridge and a party room for use by residents.
Massing of the new phase makes the transition between the Isle of Dogs’ high rise commercial district to the north and the low rise suburban residential the south.
