Richard Robinson, Communications Co-ordinator, BA (Hons)

Richard joined Metropolitan Workshop in 2013. He has a degree in Architecture and has been interested in design and communication for the last twenty years. Richard is responsible for the way the office presents itself to the outside world in all its various forms. His role is broad and varied and includes new business, marketing, PR, graphics, awards submissions, commissioning photography, maintaining the website, social media, printed collateral, and office stationery.

He also gives internal InDesign training and organises the fortnightly Friday Social where two guest speakers talk about ‘what they do’. Previously, Richard worked for Design for Homes and was PR/Marketing Manager at MJP Architects for 13 years where he was responsible for the publication of the practice monograph.

Outside of the office, Richard has designed and built a radio shed and recycled plastic bottle greenhouse at his sons’ primary school. He also helped construct two green oak framed buildings at the local nature reserve.
