Alexandra is working with Swindon Borough Council’s regeneration agency on a range of projects identified as part of the Swindon ‘Masterplan Review and Delivery Plan’, which Metropolitan Workshops developed with Allies and Morrison. This identified a range of key projects and five-year plan for the regeneration of Swindon’s town centre.

Projects include the design and insertion of new workspace inside Isambard Kingdom Brunel’s listed Carriage Works, called the WorkShed to provide around 180 flexible workspaces. Further phases are planned, including a new higher educational facility called the Cultural Heritage Institute.

One of the ‘quick win’ schemes in the plan which Alexandra also worked on was the refurbishment and conversion of two Victorian terraced properties at 1-3 Farringdon Road into two shops with eight flats above to improve the street scene. She is also working on a longer term scheme for 180 new homes on a council-owned, town centre site called Aspen House and Granville Street car park.

In Lambeth Alexandra has worked on the Somerleyton Road mixed-use regeneration project, collaborating with the Council’s team and four other architects to design a cohesive street-wide masterplan that will include more than 300 new affordable and private homes, the relocation of the Ovalhouse theatre, and new commercial and community spaces.

For Warwick Council she is working on the Leamington Spa Creative Quarter Masterplan. And for Camden Council she is working on an estate regeneration strategy for the Wendling Estate and St Stephen’s Close.
