International Quarter London S1 & S11

Our shortlisted competition proposal for the development of plots S1 and S11 for the International Quarter London at Stratford sought to mediate between the commercial and residential elements of IQL, it’s strong orthogonal grid and the greener delights of the Olympic Park. It provided IQL South with a new residential quarter, whose public realm links to, emphasises and augments the existing routes. It created a vibrant new place of distinct character that is able to function at the large townscape scale and the human scale at ground and podium levels. Its public, communal and private spaces provided a diverse range of spaces at all levels for individual, family, group, communal and public use.
