Ryan holds degrees from the Belfast School of Architecture and London Metropolitan University. He is an Architect with a range of experience in residential, commercial and mixed-use developments in the UK and overseas. Since joining Metropolitan Workshop in 2017, he has worked on various projects including the design of large purpose built student accommodation and residential schemes in the United Kingdom and Ireland. He has recently been working on a Maggie’s cancer care centre in Cheltenham and a residential scheme in Lewisham.

Prior to joining Metropolitan Workshop, Ryan worked at Lifschutz Davidson Sandilands in London and Denkkamer Architecture & Research in the Netherlands. At Lifschutz Davidson Sandilands he participated in the Plumstead and West Thamesmead Masterplan, consisting of 930 new homes and was responsible for the design of two high density residential buildings. At Denkkamer he worked on a variety of private residences and the redevelopment of Gemert’s historic post office, providing new apartments and commercial spaces.
